For this Oak Cliff location, we aimed to bring the essence of its concept name, spanish for ‘camp’ to it’s spatial design in subtle yet creative ways. We wanted to bring raw materials together while abstracting exterior concepts through carefully designed art installations, custom fixtures and furniture and clean finishes. Our aim was to convey an outdoor environment in a causal and refined interior space.
Light grey walls combine with a range of wood in various textures and stains. Modern dining seats are combined with custom plywood abstract bar stools in spaces divided by a vertical display shelf wall. Custom black steel pipe and elbow fixtures extrude from the ceiling, terminating with a simple round bulb for the space’s general lighting. Woven basket bar pendants with anchor shaped purse hooks below mix with an abstract silverware puncture art wall for a grounded, natural concept for a feel-good, casual vibe.
