For this healthy dining concept we wanted to, like the food, bring in the raw organic in the design and materiality. We wanted to design a space that not only was simple, elegant and casual but felt like a pleasant and inviting environment.
This space, with it’s 15’ high storefront, allows for heavy light to wash over it’s natural, earthy materials. A concrete plaster formed bar with stained, thick-profiled wood counters is highlighted by the light, giving it a light feel. A subway tile back bar lined with wood shelving and decorative iron brackets further continue the light feel of the space. The main dining area is complete with vertical slatted banquettes in simple, comfortable fabrics with a suspended trellis above. A completely custom natural water beverage station with glass and brass details lines one wall of the beverage area in the main space. Together the materials and natural flow of the space carefully a craft a environment meant to physically portray the essence of the food served.
