For this hand crafted Neapolitan pizza concept, we were asked to create a brand that embodied the tradition, hard work and tenacity of the food served behind it’s doors.
Inspired by the ritualistic process of medieval alchemy and its relation to the strict process of cooking and baking, we aimed to give the Forno Nero concept a hand drafted medieval manuscript presence.
Hand illustrated icons of a medieval fireplace and a hand holding a torch combined appropriately with woodcrafter sans script in black and white gives Foro Nero a bold, grounded identity.
Branding
Just as +Halle creates human spaces – often in collaboration with external designers and creatives – the solution is all about adding that human touch to the brand: By people, for people. The updated logotype abandons the original +HALLE uppercase design for a much friendlier title case version.
