For this Dallas burger joint, we aimed to create a family oriented, comfortable space brought together with a mixture of rustic and simple clean elements. We looked to taking design characteristics reminiscent of a home backyard gathering space and perfectly combining them for a cohesively finished inviting restaurant.
Decomposed granite exterior patio floors transition to a similarly gritty polished concrete interior space floor. Ceilings are left to their open metal deck and weathered trusses and beams. The main bar is clad in black polished subway tile and topped with an untreated steel counter. The bar ceiling is rapped in layers of various sized reclaimed wood for a multi-dimensiona ceiling application that contrasts with the open structure ceilings it is surrounded by. Modern furniture mixed with rustic fixtures in combination with clean CMU walls and traditional barn doors give this restaurant the comfort of a backyard BBQ and a refined Texas truck stop vibe.
